Sharon Nixon Finance Manager

Arriving at Hurst over 20 years ago as a junior accounts assistant, armed only with a newly acquired AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) certificate, was a daunting prospect for me.

However, with an eagerness to progress coupled with the proactive support and encouragement of the business, I steadily progressed through various roles. Taking on more responsibility and team members along the way.

Now, as the accounts controller and having achieved my Chartered Institute of Management Accountants qualification, I’m more than ready for the next exciting and challenging chapter at Hurst.

Mark Atkinson Sales Director

Why Hurst? Well, the honourable, professionally driven, business traits of this established family business are clearly evident and have certainly served to underpin my career at Hurst.

The last 30 years for me has seen an ever evolving, challenging marketplace and these core values have been integral in helping the business, and indeed my sales career, develop and flourish.

Hurst recognise the value of skill, knowledge and a ‘can do’ attitude and these traits are actively encouraged, acknowledged and rewarded.

Phil Orr Product Support Manager

It’s always a busy time manufacturing composite doors at Hurst and I’m responsible for getting these made and ready for dispatch as quickly and efficiently as possible.

My time at Hurst has given me the insight to know that quality and service here really means something and I’m proud to be a part of the team delivering just that.

My role is in a fast paced, factory environment with daily operational and technical challenges thrown in for good measure – just the way I like it!
