AVOCET ABS ULTIMATE DIAMOND EURO CYLINDER £2000 SECURITY GUARANTEE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ABS Ultimate 3 Star Diamond Euro Cylinder meets the requirements of the British Kitemark, TS007 3* and Sold Secure Diamond testing criteria and also holds Secured by Design accreditation – the Police Crime Preventions Initiative.

The lock has been specifically designed to combat against all known methods of attack on a euro cylinder. The ABS Ultimate lock has built in “Active Cam” technology with an advanced internal locking system that will prevent access into the inner workings of the doorbolt if it has been snapped on the outside. The lock will remain secure after forced entry snapping attacks and in most cases will still be operable with the key from the inside.

Given Avocet offer this unprecedented level of security on ABS Ultimate locks we have the confidence to state that in the unfortunate event that a burglar was able to gain access to your property by snapping the cylinder then Avocet will pay £2000 in compensation to the homeowner.

The £2000 Security Guarantee applies provided that all of the following conditions are met:

Doors covered by the guarantee are deadlocked using only genuine Avocet keys and the keys are not left in the cylinder.
The guarantee form has been filled in and completed (online) and received within 28 days of the installation and not less than 1 month prior to any claim being made.
The products must have been fitted by a Hurst Door installer.
The Cylinder lock has been maintained correctly with graphite powder as a dry lubricant at 12 months intervals from the date of installation. Do not use WD40 or 3-in-1 oil.
Any claims must be made in writing within 28 days of the break-in providing details of the incident and MUST include the crime reference number provided by the Police Authority the crime was reported to. An Avocet Technical representative will conduct a brief but detailed investigation within 28 days of the reported break-in. The cylinder lock MUST be returned to Avocet for inspection with photographic evidence of the lock snapped within the door. After investigation if the report confirms that the ABS Ultimate lock relating to the compensation guarantee were correctly fitted and maintained, according to our instructions, and failed due to a forced entry through the door the lock was fitted in, the claim will be processed within 28 days of the inspection.
Only one claim per installation is permissible within the 10 year guarantee period which commences at the registered installation date. Guarantee is valid for UK mainland installations and applies to domestic homeowners properties only.

The competition is open to those that have bought a Hurst door only.
This Competition will run from 1st February 2024 to 31st July 2024.
To enter this competition, the Hurst door must have been recently installed, within two months of posting the entry.
There is no entry fee to enter this competition.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The competition will repeat monthly with the winner being drawn/chosen at random. The promoter reserves the right to close the competition without notice.

The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

Entrants must upload a photo of their new Hurst door to either Google, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook, tag Hurst Doors into the post where relevant, and leave a review of their new Hurst door. The entries will be placed into a prize draw on a monthly basis, with a winner selected at random and receiving a £50 Amazon voucher. The Amazon voucher will be actioned within 30 days of that month’s competition closing date.
The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
The prize is a £50 Amazon voucher, as stated in marketing communications and on hurstdoors.co.uk. The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
The winner will be contacted by direct message on Google, Instagram, Twitter or Facebook and/or email within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
