Hurst Doors, the UK’s largest manufacturer of PVC-U door panels, composite doors, and fire doors, has announced the acquisition of 24 new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 315CDI L3 H2 PREMIUM vans to facilitate the distribution of its products across the country.

The investment in the new, higher specification fleet of vehicles will ensure continued timely and efficient deliveries to the company’s 1,800 trade partners nationwide.

Mark Atkinson, Sales Director, commented: “As a business that sends out thousands of doors every week, we consider timely deliveries to be a critical part of our service. By having an in-house transport operation, we can ensure customer orders arrive on time and in satisfactory condition, providing traceability and complete control over the delivery system.

This investment in the company’s delivery fleet is, therefore, an important step in maintaining our commitment to customer satisfaction.”

The vehicles were sourced through Northside Truck and Van, and the company has expressed its gratitude to them for their assistance in this acquisition.

The Hull-based dealership will be responsible for servicing and maintaining the new fleet of vans and its 24-hour after-sales facilities and Mercedes-Benz ServiceCare agreement with MaxAssist for fleet maintenance and repairs will ensure that Hurst Doors’ new fleet of vehicles is always in top condition.

Overall, this investment in a new delivery fleet represents another important step forward for Hurst Doors in ensuring that it can continue to meet the delivery needs of its customers across the UK.

A recent £200K investment in a new 430sqm extension to its 50K sq ft manufacturing facility in Hull, which features a dedicated loading area for the vans to be loaded overnight ready for the next day, will aid a greater consistency of service in its dispatch of PVC panels and composite doors.
