Hayley Barker, Head of Marketing at Hurst, has raised more than £2,000 for Dove House Hospice after completing a charity skydive in support of the Hull-based organisation.
The jump, which saw Hayley take to the skies above East Yorkshire for a tandem skydive, marks another chapter in Hurst’s ongoing support for Dove House Hospice, a partnership that has seen employees take part in a wide range of fundraising challenges over the past year.

Dove House Hospice provides vital end-of-life care, bereavement support and specialist services for patients and families across Hull and the East Riding.
As a charity that relies heavily on fundraising to meet its annual running costs, contributions from individuals and local businesses make a tangible difference to the support it can offer.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the generosity shown by colleagues, customers and industry friends,” Hayley said. “The skydive was both terrifying and exhilarating, but knowing the money raised will help families in our local community made every second worth it.
“Dove House holds a special place in the hearts of so many people here, and I’m proud to have been able to support them in this way.”
The skydive follows a year of charitable activity at Hurst, with initiatives ranging from company bake-offs to obstacle races, fire walks and sponsored events, all helping to raise awareness and essential funds for the hospice.
“We’re delighted for Hayley and extremely proud of what she’s achieved,” said Mark Atkinson, Sales Director at Hurst. “This fundraiser reflects her personal commitment, but also the wider culture at Hurst.
“Supporting local causes is something the whole team values, and Dove House remains a charity very close to us.”
Jonny Bottomley, Partnership Development Lead at Dove House Hospice, added: “Fundraising challenges like Hayley’s skydive play an important role in helping us continue our work.
“We’re grateful for her bravery and for the continued support shown by everyone at Hurst.”
The £2,000 raised will contribute directly to patient care, family services and the hospice’s wider community programmes.
