Part-time Payroll Administrator

Hurst Doors are actively recruiting an experienced Payroll Administrator to work within the finance team.
This is a part-time position, based at our site in Hull. The successful applicant being responsible for all aspects of the company’s payroll. Working in an environment that requires excellent communication skills along with strong IT skills and the ability to work to deadlines and manage day to day challenges.
About the Role:
In this vital role, you will be responsible for all payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees. You will work closely with the management team. maintaining payroll records and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data and records held
- Processing payroll records and employee data in accordance with company policies, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and statutory requirements
- Handle payroll-related queries from employees and management and HMRC
- Reconciliation, upload and submission of all HMRC liabilities online such as FPS, EPS/Year End & any other ad hoc discrepancies/queries. This includes all payment submissions as per HMRC’s liability dates set out each year
- Assist with any other payroll-related tasks as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a payroll administration role
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and relevant legislation
- Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Position: Permanent, working 16-20 hours a week, negotiable.
